Caroline Omburu founded Kerry’s Joy World in 2004. She started this non-profit initiative after working with street kids in Nairobi and Mombasa, where she became intensely involved and knowledgeable in what orphans need, but also lack. Caroline – the orphanage mother – is the main character in these children’s lives, providing them with crucial love and security.
The initiative also includes a principal, teachers, volunteers, nannies and others who might be of assistance. As a volunteer, you are welcome to stay at the orphanage in a specially appointed volunteer house.
Kerry’s Joy World is governed by a board of oversight, monitoring the work and helping by providing directions and advice.
